Great Gray Owl

Since 2013, I have been investing significant time each year to document great gray owls (Strix nebulosa). This portfolio is a culmination of roughly 1,000 hours in the field seeking out the ghost of the boreal forest. The majority of images have been captured in northern Minnesota, but a few are from Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming. As with all my wildlife images, no baiting, feeding or playback calls were used to capture this photographs.
